​Live Best Third-Placed Teams Standings: Iran Qualify, Korea Rank 8th, Scotland Eliminated

June 28 – Live standings of the best third-placed teams: Iran have secured qualification, Korea sit in 8th place, and Scotland are out of contention.


In the matches from Groups J and K, both of the following scenarios must be met for Korea to guarantee a top-eight finish among the best third-placed teams:

1. Austria beat Algeria, OR Algeria beat Austria by two or more goals.
2. Congo DR fail to beat Uzbekistan (condition currently satisfied).

For Iran to qualify as one of the eight best third-placed teams, at least one of the following conditions must be met:

1. Austria and Algeria produce a winner.
2. Congo DR do not beat Uzbekistan, AND Uzbekistan do not beat Congo DR by seven or more goals (condition currently satisfied).
