Lukaku Nears Fenerbahçe Switch as Deal Advances

Romelu Lukaku is edging closer to a move from Napoli to Turkish side Fenerbahçe, according to reports from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Belgian striker has already reached a personal agreement with the Istanbul club, clearing the way for club-to-club talks to progress. Fenerbahçe’s opening bid of €6 million was rejected by Napoli, but a revised proposal is now being prepared and is expected to be submitted shortly.
Sources indicate the deal is advancing rapidly, with an agreement described as close. Napoli are understood to be seeking a higher fee, potentially in the region of €10 million, while Chelsea stand to receive a significant sell-on percentage from any sale.
Lukaku, who has struggled for consistent starts at Napoli this season, is attracted by the prospect of regular first-team football, a competitive salary and the chance to compete in European competitions with Fenerbahçe. The Turkish giants, who continue to strengthen their squad under president Aziz Yıldırım’s involvement, view the experienced forward as a key addition to their attacking options alongside existing strikers.
Negotiations between the two clubs remain ongoing. If completed, the transfer would mark a significant move for both the player and Fenerbahçe as the summer window continues.
